Emily's 30th Birthday Week!!

Well a couple of week's ago I turned the big 30!!! It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I think I got myself prepared or hyped up a bit. 30 so far has been wonderful. I had such a fun birthday/birth week. It all started on Tuesday Feb. 1st. My best friend Hillary invited me to go out for ice cream which is a tradition of ours. We were going to a new ice cream place this time where you get your own ice cream and add any toppings you would like. When we got there, Hillary opened the door for me and when I walked in I heard a bunch of people yell "Suprise"!! To my suprise she had called all of my friends in the ward and had them meet us there for a suprise party!! It was so wonderful!! It was so fun to be truly suprised!! It was so great to have everyone there to help celebrate my birthday and we had a wonderful time together!! It was fun to see everyone!!

On my actual birthday, I went out to breakfast to Ihop with 2 of my good friends that I go walking with, then went to lunch at Olive Garden with my mom and sisters, and then went out to dinner to Texas Roadhouse with Doug and Wyatt!! I can't believe that I did that all in one day. It was so fun though. At lunch, my sister Brita thought it would be fun for everyone to bring 30 of something as a gift. So my mom gave me 30 cute fabric squares, batting and yarn, Jenni gave me a pack of 30 sheets of cute scrapbook paper, Kelleen gave me 20 cute thank you cards, some 5 stamps, and fun flower stickers, Brita gave me 30 cans of Dr. Pepper and a hat that had 30 blow pops on it with a sign that said 30 blows.

Later in the week we celebrated mine and my niece's birthday with Doug's side of the family, and then had a family dinner at my parents house on fast Sunday. We had my favorite, cheese lasagna. It was so yummy. I hadn't had it in a while.

I had a few phone calls that day, got some cute cards, had the Relief Society Presidency stop by with a treat, spent time with friends and family, etc. It was a wonderful day and week. Thank you to everyone who made it so special.

Wyatt Tubing!!

Doug and Wyatt had a blast playing out in the snow today so we decided to ge a tube for Wyatt to go tubing in our back yard. It was so much fun. Doug got a good work out running around the back yard pulling Wyatt in the tube. Wyatt had so much fun and kept telling Doug to go again and to go faster. It was fun to watch them.

Here are a few more Christmas photos. Wyatt was so excited this year. Santa brought him a Lightening McQueen bike, an art set, new toys etc. I think he was very happy with his new bike. He has been riding it in the basement and is getting very good at it. His other favorite toy right now is his racing marble set that he got from Grammy and Papa. He loves to build a new track every day!! We had such a wonderful Christmas this year. We had a wonderful family dinner and party at both my parents house and Doug's parents house, we hung out at home Christmas day for a bit, we were able to talk to my brother Tyler who is on a mission in Georgia on Christmas day, spent time with family, etc.

Here are some pictures from Christmas this year!! Wyatt got the fun monster trucks from Nana and Bompa, he is wearing the pj's that we got him this year (they were red and green and had Mickey Mouse on them, he loved them, and we gave him Lightening McQueen slippers to wear). It was a very busy but great Christmas this year. We are very blessed.

Gingerbread House!!

This year my friend Lori invited us over to her house for some yummy soup and she helped Wyatt to make a ginger bread house!! It was so much fun. She had the ginger bread house ready to go and all of the treats to put on it. Wyatt had so much fun helping to choose the colors of frosting to use (red, green and orange)and putting on all of the fun treats. It was such a fun activity and he loved looking at his gingerbread house each day. I had fun watching him put everything on his house!! It was a great festive activity.

This year for Halloween Wyatt dressed up as Buzz Lightyear. He had such a fun time wearing his outfit!! Luckily I was able to borrow it from my sister this year!! (Thank you Brita!! Everyone loved the outfit and thought it was so cool!!) Wyatt's friend Justin dressed up as Woody. It was so fun to see them together in their cute outfits!! Wyatt had a fun time in preschool this last month learning halloween songs, making halloween decorations, going trick or treating, etc. Halloween is a fun holiday to celebrate.

This year Wyatt had 2 Halloween preschool programs. It was so much fun and they sang a bunch of fun halloween songs. Wyatt was a little shy and wouldn't sing but it was fun to see all of the kids in his classes dressed up.

Here are a few more photos of our outing to celebrate our 1 year anniversary of being sealed as a family. Wyatt's favorite part of being up in the canyon was being by the water. He was having fun throwing pine cones in the water and walking over rocks to get from side to side. He thought that he was so big!! We also found this really cool fuzzy orange and black caterpiller. I haven't seen one of those before!! We had such a great time that afternoon. It was fun to get out and go for a hike together as a family. We love seeing the leaves change color and it is always a great spot to get family photos. We like to go up to American Fork Canyon this time of year to see the leaves change. It was fun to go walking by the creek this year. We haven't done that before.

1 Year Anniversary!!

On Saturday Sept. 25th we celebrated our 1 year anniversary of being sealed in the temple as a family!! We went up American Fork Canyon to check out the leaves changing colors and to go on a little hike. We found a creek as we were walking and got some great photos. We also went out to dinner and picked up some yummy treats from Dippidee. It was fun to go out and celebrate as a family!! It is so exciting that it has been a year and the time has just flown by.

It's offical. Wyatt had his first day of preschool today. Wyatt was really excited to go. We got him a new outfit to wear and he was really excited to wear his backpack too. We walked over to his school this morning, he found his name to hang up his backpack and sat on the carpet to wait for his teacher and I told him goodbye. It was really hard on me to leave him there but I know he is going to have fun. It will be so great to hear what he did for his first day of school.

Wiggles Concert!!

For one of Wyatt's birthday presents this year we bought tickets to go to the Wiggle's Concert. Wyatt loves watching the Wiggle's on TV. He knows all of the people's names and all of the songs. He loves to sing and dance to the songs. Wyatt was pretty tired when we went to the concert because we had gone on a hike earlier in the day but I think he had a great time. He got to wave at Jeff who walked by our row, and would yell during certain songs. It was really fun to take him to the concert!! We had a good time too!!

Wyatt's New Train Set!!

Wyatt is now potty trained!! We are so excited. We had a potty chart for him and if he went to the bathroom 24 times we told him that we would get him a train set!! He loves playing with his trains and dressing up like the conductor. It is so fun!!

Thanksgiving Point Activities!!

We went to Thanksgiving Point as part of our 24th of July vacation too. We went to the Farm Country and Wyatt went on a pony ride twice, we saw some of the animals, we also went to the Dinosuar Museum where Wyatt sat on a dinosuar, played in the sand, saw a big shark, saw some goldfish in a pond/stream, saw a bunch of dinosuar bones, and had lunch. It was so much fun.

My dad also took Wyatt fishing as part of the vacation. Wyatt wouldn't hold on to the fishing pole. All he wanted to do was through the fish food in. My dad and Wyatt caught 5 fish. They also went out to lunch. It was a great time.

We stayed at a hotel up in Layton and went swimming too. We did so many fun activities. I can't wait until we go again next year.

Children's Treehouse Museum!!

Another activity we did as part of our family vacation was go to the Children's Treehouse Museum in Ogden. It was awesome. We were there for about an hour and a half and didn't get to do everything. Wyatt loved being on the fire truck and playing with the train sets the most. He also got to make a barn and animals out of paper cut outs, he could play life size chess, he went in a teepee and dressed up like an indian, they have a space where you can sit behind the desk like the one in the oval office, you can make so many crafts, etc. There was so much there to do. It was a fun activity!!

Union Station!!

Over the 24th of July holiday we went up to the Union Station in Ogden and saw a bunch of trains. They were huge. Some of the wheels were as tall as me. They also had a train car that was for the Olympics. It was awesome to see. Wyatt loved seeing the trains and crawling up on them. He also enjoyed going through the museum and watching the toy trains going trough room to room. We had a great time. We also saw a bunch of classic cars which I think Doug really enjoyed. We had a fun weekend.

Jaxon's Birthday Party!!

A couple of weeks ago Wyatt went to Jaxon Carbajal's birthday party. He had such a fun time. Wyatt decided to tell me to go home. Wyatt had a blast. They blew bubbles, played in the pool, he played basketball, there was a blow up slide that had water spraying on it but Wyatt was to affraid to try it. He had a great time!!

Back at the end of May/begining of June they were having vendor booths and carnival rides as part of the Pony Express Days through our city. I had set up a booth and took Wyatt over to ride some of the rides. Here he is in a car driving. He was a little scared at first but once he got going he had a lot of fun. He was the only one on the ride at the time!!

Yesterday we had a family party for Wyatt at the splash pad too. It was so fun. We had my parents, my brother Tyler, Doug's parents, Brita & Aaron & kids, Jenni & Keld & Lynlee, John & Cheryl & kids, there. It was great. Wyatt was at the splash pad in Highland all day to celebrate his birthday. He had such a great time. I made him a basketball cake for his birthday this year since that is what he requested. He had fun playing with all of his cousins. Thank you to everyone who came to help celebrate Wyatt's birthday. He had a great day!!

Wyatt's 3rd Friend Birthday Party!!

Yesterday was Wyatt's 3rd birthday. This year he wanted to have a friend party and told me the friends that he wanted to come. It was so much fun. We went to the splash pad and took a canopy with us that we decorated with sports themed stuff. Wyatt had 5 of his friends come to his party - Nathan, Johnny, Camrie, Halle, & Jaxon. They all had a great time. It was so much fun!!

Father's & Son's Campout!!

This last weekend Doug took Wyatt on his first campout. It was the father's and son's campout with our ward. They had a lot of fun. They made dinner and had a fireside on Friday night. On Saturday they had breakfast and were racing sailboats. Doug said that Wyatt did really well sleeping. They ended up sleeping in a trailer that our friends own. Doug said that by the time that they got there, there wasn't a place to put up a tent because there was such a great turn out.

A Day at the Zoo!!

For Doug's birthday this year we went to the zoo. It has become a tradition to go to the zoo on his birthday. It is really fun. This year we went on a train ride, Wyatt went on the carousel, Wyatt played in the play area, etc. Those were all new things we did that we hadn't done before. We saw a baby elephant, 2 large elephants, giraffe's, hippos, tigers, etc. It was a great time.

We also went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. I love their scones or rolls. They are very yummy. We tried their brownie with ice cream. It was so rich and very yummy!! They also pulled Doug up and had him sit on a saddle to wish him a happy birthday. It was a hoot. I think Doug had a good birthday.

Here are a few photos from our activities for Easter. Wyatt went on an Easter Egg Hunt in our yard for a ward activity, he went on an Easter Egg Hunt over at Thanksgiving point, he got a bunch of fun stuff from the Easter Bunny in his basket, he went on an Easter Egg Hunt at Doug's parents house this year and we had a very yummy lunch. We had a lot of activities that we did and Wyatt had a great time. We also had a couple of family home evenings about the meaning of Easter and Wyatt was sad when he heard that Jesus had died. It was cute to see him listen to the lesson and react. We had a great Easter holiday.

Moab Trip!!

We went down to Moab for a family trip for a couple of days. We went to the Arches and went on a hike. Wyatt actually walked for almost the whole mile. He had fun trowing rocks into puddles of water that were in some of the larger rocks because it had rained and snowed on us on Friday. You can see in one of the pictures that it was snowing. We took a bunch of pictures while we were driving in the snow. We were able to go for the fun hike later in the day though. We also drove through Canyon lands on Saturday morning before we headed home. It was a beautiful view everywhere we went. It was just tough because the weather didn't cooperate with us too well. It was a nice little family get away. We stayed at a great bed and breakfast. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful. My favorite was the blueberry pancakes with caramelized walnuts, strawberries and whipped cream.

Pony Ride!!

Today I took Wyatt to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. Wyatt decided that he wanted to go on a pony ride. Once we were ready to go on the pony ride Wyatt got a little scared. He got to choose which pony he wanted to go on. He sat on a pony for a little bit and waited for some other kids to get on some of the other ponies. He almost wanted to get off but I told him that he was going to go soon. Once they got going he did great. He was having a great time. He started saying wahoo after another kid had said it. Wyatt rode the pony all by himself!! He said that he had fun once it was done.

Blast Zone at Kangaroo Zoo!!

Last week I took Wyatt to Kangaroo Zoo with Hillary and her son Justin, and Dulcie and her daughter Kamry. All the kids had a great time. They got to play a game called Blast Zone in an enclosed room. They had to wear goggles to protect their eyes. It was really cute to see them all put on the goggles. Then they got to put balls into an air gun type thing that shot the balls across the room. They had a ball. Hillary and I had a hard time keeping up with getting the balls back to all of the kids. I think they all had a great time!! I know Wyatt did.

Easter Egg Hunt!!

Today our ward had their Easter Egg Hunt. What they did this year was to have everyone who wanted to participate drop off the Easter eggs they want hidden to the person who was in charge's house. The young men and young women in the ward helped to hide the eggs last night in your yard. Then this morning around 8:30am they honked a horn to let us know it was time to go on the Easter Egg Hunt. When Wyatt saw the eggs outside through the window he was ready to go. We headed out around 9am to go on the hunt. Wyatt had a great time searching for eggs in our yard. He found all 28 of them!! Most of the eggs were easy to find and a couple of them were a little more difficult. We then had breakfast and a little program done by the Primary over at the church. It was a fun activity.

Wyatt & Midnight!!

We have a new cat (to us) since about December. His name is Midnight. Wyatt love to play with Midnight, pet him, lay on him, chase him, etc. It is nice to have a pet again. We adopted Midnight from our previous bishop and his family before they had to move. Wyatt has enjoyed having him.

Wyatt's New Bike!!

We went out tonight for part of our family night and bought Wyatt a tricycle. Every time I go to Walmart with Wyatt he always wants to ride a bike. We all went together tonight and found a tricycle. Wyatt was so excited to put it together. He helped Doug put it together and used his tools that Grammy & Papa Crosby gave to him for his 2nd birthday. He also helped put on the stickers. He is happy to have a bike now. It is a little big for him but he had fun riding it around the living room. We pushed him a little in the beginning but then he started to do it himself. He told us that he was excited for his new bike!! So much fun!!

A couple of weeks ago my brother and his friends who are in a barbershop quartet sang the Star Spangled Banner at the opening of a Jazz game. It was so cool and they did a great job!!

Kangaroo Zoo!!

I had a friend of mine introduce me to Kangaroo Zoo. It is a place that has a bunch of inflatable bouncing toys. Wyatt loves going there. I take him occasionally. I took him this last Saturday because Doug was recouperating from being sick. Wyatt loves to play in the bouncing toy that has a crocodile, crab, dolphine, turtle, etc. in it. He loves to climb on the crocodile and jump off and jump around. He is finally crawling around and walking through a few of the other toys too. He isn't a big fan of the big slides yet. He does like to crawl up a little slide about half way and slide down on his stomach. It is really funny to watch. There is also a small area with toys in it that Wyatt likes to play with. He also likes to run around and have fun. It is a great place to take him.

Christmas!!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We had a wonderful dinner and family party at my parents for family night. We had a program, played bells, did a gift exchange between the nieces and nephews, etc. We also had a great dinner and get together with Doug's family on Christmas Eve. We listened to stories read by the kids, had a great meal, played a card game, exchanged gifts between families, etc. When we got home on Christmas Eve we all opened pajama's to wear for the next day. Wyatt loved his Mickey mouse pj's. He also enjoyed the pj's that grammy gave him. Santa came to visit and bring present's to Wyatt. Wyatt had a great time opening his gifts and stocking. He wanted to see what was in all of our stockings. He opened about 3 gifts and was done for a while. It took us about 4 hours total to get through everything. He had fun playing with all of his new toys. He got playdough, a remote control train, wooden blocks and lego blocks, books, cars, trucks, a cool cars package that came with magnets, book, crayons and coloring book, etc. We got ourselves a Wii and a Wii Fit plus. We have been having fun with that. We had a great time with family and a wonderful Christmas!!

Snowmen!!

Today Wyatt and I made snowmen in the front yard. Wyatt was so excited about the snowmen. He said that we made the biggest snowmen in the world. He was watching a show called Caillou today and they were talking about snowmen so he wanted to make one too. Our snow was pretty crunchy so we took big chunks of snow and piled them on top of each other to make our snowmen. Wyatt had a lot of fun and did a great job of helping me carry the snow. He also helped pile the snow on top of each other. He also decided to eat the snow and thought it tasted great. This was the first time that he has really been able to play in the snow. Guess I need to go get him some snow boots and real gloves!!

Wyatt got to see and sit on Santa's lap at our ward Christmas party. Wyatt was disappointed because santa didn't give him a candycane so we had Santa "my parents" send him a candycane in the mail. He was so excited when it came. It made him so happy. Wyatt also saw santa go by on top of a firetruck. He gets so excited whenever he see's or hears about Santa. It is so great that he is getting into Christmas.

Decorating the Christmas Tree!!

Wyatt helped us decorate the Christmas tree this year. He had so much fun putting the ornaments on the tree. He has taken a few off and moved them around a few times. He always asks me to turn on the lights each morning. He did a great job helping us out. He has also helped me wrap presents this year and put presents under the tree. It is great to see him get into the Christmas spirit. I am glad that he can help me out so much.

Fishing Trip!!

Doug took Wyatt fishing for the first time with his dad a few weeks ago up at Strawberry. They all had such a great time!! Doug's dad was the only one who caught a fish. They also got the boat out of the water and cleaned. Wyatt did a great job out on the water. He had a great time in the boat. Here are a few photos of their trip.

Halloween!!

We had a fun Halloween this year. We decorated pumpkin shaped sugar cookies earlier in the week, we went swimming Halloween morning, my parents came by to visit and brought Wyatt some great snacks and fun toys, we went to see Doug's parents and stopped by my sister's and brother-in-laws houses, we carved pumpkins, Wyatt saw his friend Justin, I took Wyatt trick or treating around the neighborhood and Doug handed out candy to trick or treators. Wyatt liked to help out at the door when trick or treators rang the door bell. It was a fun holiday.

Wyatt's First Time Frosting & Decorating Cookies!!

Today I decided to make some sugar cookies. I let Wyatt help us decorate a couple. He had a great time putting on the frosting, then he covered all of the cookies that he had put frosting on with as many candy corns, chocolate sprinkles and regular sprinkles as he could. Needless to say his cookies were covered. He wasn't interested in eating them afterward. He just wanted some frosting and the treats that went on top. It was fun letting him help us out with a fun activity for halloween!!

Welcome to the world baby Lynlee!! Here are a few photos of my sister Jenni and her new little baby Lynlee. She is so cute and so small. She was born on October 19th (which is my moms birthday too!! Happy Birthday mom!!), at 4:24pm. She weighed 6 pounds 7 ounces and was 18 inches long. She is really tiny and so cute. He has cute curly hair. She looks like her mom and her dad to me. So exciting!!

On Saturday we went for a quick hike up American Fork Canyon. The leaves were very beautiful and starting to change colors. The dark red ones are my favorite. Wyatt did very well walking on the path. We all had a great time.

Wyatt's New Pets!!!

Over the weekend I took Wyatt to Cabella's to see the big fish swimming around. Then I took him to PetSmart and we got him a Betta fish and a dwarf frog that swims in the water too. He is so excited to have his new pets. Each morning he likes to get up and stand on a chair to watch the fish and frog swim around. He even helps to feed them and when I clean the bowl out he likes to watch the fish and frog hang out in a little tupperware. He is having so much fun with his pets. He is doing very well!!

Labor Day Fun!!

On Labor Day we went up to Park City. We were hoping to go on the Alpine Slides but it was a 1 1/2 hour wait just to get on the ski lift. So, we had a yummy lunch, took Wyatt on his first Merry Go Round ride, played miniature golf, and walked around. It was so great. Wyatt had fun on the Merry Go Round. He was a little affraid at first but after a minute or two he was having a blast. We would look at Doug as we passed by and Wyatt would just grin. We also had a great time playing miniature golf. Wyatt would help hit the ball, then he would go chase after it, pick it up and drop it in the hole. It was so cute and funny. It was nice to get out of the house for a while and to have a little bit of a get away.

Wyatt's First Boating Trip!!

A couple of weekends ago we went up to Strawberry to spend some time with Doug's family. It was really nice. All of the kids made their own hats and put on a hat parade. We took Wyatt on his first boat ride. He really liked it. He wanted to go faster and wanted to go on a longer ride. Doug's dad took us out on the boat for a fun ride around on the lake. It was really great. We had a good time.

Here are a few more splash pad photos. Doug and another co-worker designed the splash pad. We love taking Wyatt to the splash pad. He loves playing in the water there. He especially likes the river. He likes to run through the water and splash the water that comes out of the rocks. One of the days that I had taken him to the splash pad he ran through all of the water around the edge of the splash pad. It was so funny because he would go running through the water that was squirting up through the ground which was face level for Wyatt so it would get him pretty wet. These photos are so cute. Our friend is a professional photographer and she took these photos. (She took our photos at our wedding.) She even got onto the ladder of a city fire truck and got an aireal view of the splash pad which looks really cool. Wyatt had unfortunately fallen this same day and got a big goose egg on his forehead but the pictures that our friend got are so cute of Wyatt. Her husband had also helped to get some cute photos too. We love them all. There are too many to choose from.

A Busy But Fun Week!!

On Thursday we went to the Highland Splash Pad with about 10 other ladies and kids from our ward. It was a lot of fun. The splash pad was pretty busy. Here are a couple of photos of Wyatt and his friend Justin. They have a fun time splashing through the water and running around. They like to follow each other around or chase each other. It is fun to watch. We also went to lunch after the kids ran around for about an hour. That is always a nice little treat too.

This week Wyatt and I went to Thanksgiving point with his friend Johnny and his mom. It was really fun. We went to the Children's Discovery Gardens and to Farm Country. It was really busy and a bit hot. The kids had a fun time especially when we went to see the animals at the Farm Country. We saw cows, horses, lahmas, goats, baby rabbits, etc. We even went for a tractor ride.

Our 24th of July Vacation!!

For the 24th of July we went on a fun mini-vacation. It was so great. We went to so many places and did so many fun things. Here are a few things we did; went to the planetarium at the Gateway, went to a BBQ at my parents house, swimming at the hotel, played some arcade games which Wyatt loves, (Wyatt enjoyed the games as much as we did. I ended up getting 344 tickets at one game. It was crazy and very lucky. Doug won 75 tickets on the same game.), went to the Dinosaur Park, and we went fishing at a fish farm up in Ogden with Brita, Aaron, Brogan and Kamree, Wyatt caught 3 fish (yippeeee!!) and Brogan and Kamree caught 5 fish total!! It was such a fun and quick trip. We did so many fun activities over the weekend. It was nice to get away and enjoy some fun family time together.

Over the weekend we went to the new Highland Splash Pad. Doug helped design it through his work. Wyatt has so much fun playing in the water. It takes him a little while to get use to it because the water is pretty cold but once he adjusts, he has a great time. He chased Doug down a walking path that has the shape of a river in it that Doug designed. Wyatt loves splashing the water with his hands. It looks like he is trying to hit the water. He has so much fun and laughes after he plays in the water. At the splash pad there is a waterfall, a river that you can walk through that has rocks in the center, some of the rocks have water shooting out of the center of them, and there is a splash pad that has a bunch of different ways the water shoots up through the ground. All of the water in the splash pad varies in length of time that it is on so Wyatt always wonders where the water went when it turns off or goes to a different section. It is a lot of fun to walk through. It is so nice because it has so many different features and variety.

On Friday, Doug, Wyatt, and I went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house with my parents, Doug's parents and my sister and her husband. It was so beautiful and was wonderful to walk through with our family members.

One day last week I had brought everything into my room to get Wyatt ready for a bath. I had stepped out of the room for just a few minutes. When I came back in, Wyatt had opened the jar of vasoline that I had and rubbed it all in his hair, on his hands, up and down his legs and feet, on our comforter and on a towel, on the lid, etc. All I could do was laugh and take some photos. It is just so funny what little kids will do.

A Fun Day at the Zoo!!

On Friday we went to the zoo with my sister (Brita), my brother-in-law (Aaron) and their 2 cute kids (Brogan and Kamree). We all had such a great time. We saw lots of animals. We saw lion's, bears playing, elephant's, tiger's, giraffe's, camel's, crocodiles, peacocks, a bunny hoping down the pathway, monkeys, cougars, leopards, snakes, porcupines, a squirrel, zebras, and rhino's. We also went to a really cool bird show. They had so many neat birds and they even had some of the birds fly over the audience. They had at least 10 doves fly over everyone. It was so fun to watch and the kids loved it. They had so many different birds too. They had parrots, a bald eagle, an owl. As the zookeepers/trainers would present some of the birds they would have some different animals run in the background which was very funny. They had rats running along a wall, a chicken would run across in the background and some penguin birds too. It was really a hoot. They also had a bird that would talk and make animal impressions that were really great. It was a really fun day. All of the kids did great and enjoyed all of the animals.

Petting Zoo!!

Today we went over to Nolan Park in Eagle Mountain for the city celebrations to see the animals that they had in a petting zoo. Wyatt had so much fun seeing all the different animals. He really liked the baby cows and bunny rabbit. We also saw two baby sheep, goats, chickens, puppies, and a horse. We also saw the U of U helicopter land which Wyatt thought was really neat. He liked watching it land and wanted to see it up close. He had a really great time.

A Day At The Park!!

On Memorial Day we went to the park and had a fun picnic. Wyatt loves going to the park. He likes to wander around, watch other kids play, he loves to go down the slide and swing. He also loves to run up and down the big hills. We had a fun time with him over the Memorial Day weekend.

Wyatt really loves flowers. He likes to go and touch the petals of the flowers. He is really good when he touches them too. He is very soft about it. He will actually say flowers and likes to look at them all. It is really cute.

We have Wyatt in a parent/child swimming lesson. He is a little scared of the water but he is doing great. He is learning to float on his tummy and belly, jumping off the side of the pool, blowing bubbles, scooping water, going under the water, etc. He will walk in the water if he holds on to mom or dad's hand. Doug was excited to take Wyatt to his swimming lesson on Friday. They had a fun time!!

Doug's 40th Birthday Party!!!

On Saturday we celebrated Doug's 40th birthday with our families and friends. It was a lot of fun. We had a BBQ and had some fun with some goofy gifts (depends, metamucal, baby food, geezer tweezers, a mood chart, etc.) . It was so great. By the end of the night I had Doug wearing a wig and using a blow up walker that I found that had hilarious sayings on it (warning achy body parts, high pants zone, over the hill walking, memory detour, watch your step, sagging body parts, etc.). I had also put up a bunch of funny photos of Doug around the room that were really goofy.0 It was a fun night.

Thanksgiving Point Easter Egg Hunt!!

Today we went over to Thanksgiving Point for an Easter Egg hunt. It was so much fun but very chilly. It started to sprinkle as we left. Wyatt had fun picking up the eggs as long as I was holding him. He ended up getting 15 eggs today. They had a bunch of other activities going on too. They had someone there making balloon shapes, face painting, train rides, bean bag toss, potato sack races, etc. It was too cold and rainy for us to do all of the activities but Wyatt met the easter bunny and got a balloon tied in the shape of a dog. He played with the balloon on the way home. It was a fun family activity.

Wyatt went on his first easter egg hunt with the ward on Saturday. He had fun but he wasn't quite sure what to do. He did pick up a few eggs and enjoyed eating some of the treats afterwards. He had a bit of a cold so it was a quick hunt. It lasted about 2 minutes but it was a fun activity.

Wyatt came outside with us today and helped out in the garden. Doug was getting the dirt ready in the garden boxes and Wyatt would put water in them. It was really cute. He looked like a little mand trying to help out. He did a great job and had a lot of fun.

Here are some cute photos of Wyatt playing with cereal and he is in a hiding spot which is the pantry. It is really fun to watch what he does. He is becoming very creative in how he plays. Doug also made Wyatt a fort out of a big box that our new washer came in. Our cat has just as much fun as Wyatt does playing in the fort.
